Win32 Heur, is a virus that infects computers via  corrupt audio, video or other media files, spam emails and illegal file sharing (peer-to-peer) applications. The Win32/Heur virus usually generates a false anti-virus application that pops up on your computer and telling  you  that your computer has been infected. The Win32/Heur virus can also download additional viruses, slow your computer down , redirect your Web browser, and in a worst case scenario even Win32 Heur virus cause your computer to crash.

Manually remove Win32 Heur virus

Virus Win32 Heur can be deleted manually or using the latest updated anti virus programs. First of all you need to stop the running process by navigating to Task Manager. Press CTRL +  ALT+DEL, Go to Task Manager , locate Win32/Heur.exe process and press “End Process”.

Delete infected files . The next thing you need to do is to delete files that have been infected on you computer. Those that have been infected by Win32 Heur will contain the following strings : Win32/Heur.exe or Win32/Heur.dll.

Delete the infected registry:. Please make sure you back up the computer registry before proceeding to the next step. If you are not familiar with the procesure of backing up and restoring registry you may use CCCleaner , a free yet excellent utility  program.

Go to the registry edit : Start—Run—-Type  Regedit locate the following key : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Win32/Heur , right click on in and delete.
