Routers can connect networks within a Local Area Network (LAN), connect LAN network with a WAN (Wide Area Network), a WAN network with another WAN or LAN . A router can also act as an internet gateway to internet service provider and provide internet access to client computers connected to it. In addition routers also perform the network-related tasks such as: filter out, control and manage data traffics, divide networks into multiple sub-networks, perform network routing to obtain the shortest path to network resources and also provide an alternative in the event the main links are broken or clogged.

There are basically two types of routers, a device router and software router. Device router is a network gear or hardware that serves as a physical router, among the best known router brands are Linksys, Netgear, Cisco, Belkin and so on. Software Router is an application program installed on an operating system that acts as a router, among the well-known software router are RRAS (Routing and Remote Access), WinRoute, WinGate, WinProxy , SpyGate and so on.

Windows Server 2008 or commonly often referred to as Win2K8 or W2K8 is one of Microsoft’s Windows server line of operating systems introduced to the market in the year 2008. It’s the successor to Windows Server 2003, which was introduced five years earlier. A second release, named Windows Server 2008 R2, was published to the market in the year 2009. Just like Windows Vista and Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 is based on Windows NT 6.x. and like with its siblings we setup Windows Server 2008 as a router. In order to turn Windows Server 2008-powered computer into a router you need first create Routing and Remote Access (RRAS) role on your server . RRAS is a network service that can serve as:

• NAT (Network Address Translation).
• Dial up and VPN Demand-dial Router.
• Dialup remote access server.
• VPN (Virtual Private Network) Server.
• Router

Suppose you want to connect computers between two different networks; network I and II, network A has computer A as one of its clients, while network II has computer B connected to it. To connect network I and network II, first of all, of course make sure the Windows Server 2008-run computer/ server that you want to turn into a router has two Network adapters (NICs) and the necessary cables to connect them via the router. After the above requirements are met follow the bellow step-by-step instruction on how to setup Windows server 2008 and a router:

Go to Server Manager by clicking on Server Manager icon (located on the right Taskbar), or if it is not there you can go to the Server Manager via the Administrative Tools in the Start menu

Click on Roles on the left and then click “Add Roles ” menu located on the right pane (see picture bellow)

<a

Many recent computer viruses and other malicious threats can replicate, propagate and adapt to and even disable security programs installed on a computer. Two of the notorious viruses can update itself and keep evolving and is highly adaptable to the security applications are Conficker Virus and Heur Virus. A virus-prone computer easily be infected because of users’ lack of knowledge of basic security measures to protect their computer against potential threats or simply because they are not aware how to apply the operating system security patches, configure firewall settings and perform other basic security measures. Windows 7 and its previous Windows versions have continuously become subject to relentless virus attacks which according to a statistics figure power 90% of all computers, . This post explains steps on how to to prevent , minimize virus infection and get viruses off your Windows 7 computer.

One of the preventive measures to reduce the havoc wrought by viruses is by backing up data and the operating system on a regular basis on different media storage. The backups should be kept in a separate media and are completely unconnected to the system all of the time, read-only or not accessible from your computer. By backing up your data and operating system files, any possible data loss done by a virus can be restored to the last known good configurations. So first and foremost, you are highly recommended to create a backup of your data, files, and operating system files when you are 100% sure your Windows 7 computer is free from virus infections and store them on an external hard disk.

Steps to Viruses Off Your Windows 7 Computer

Activate Windows Update. The first step to take is to update your Windows 7, Windows Update works to close the security holes, weaknesses or flaws contained in the operating system normally used by viruses to exploit, infect or propagate themselves. All paid software vendors are generally required to issue security updates to patch the security holes that may exist in its products over a certain period of time or when there is a new security threat that exploits their program weakness . Windows Update is a very important and basic security measure to prevent a virus infections, yet most computer users disable it from their computers. Windows update is deactivated by users for several reasons such as to make their computer run faster as a frequent and periodic Windows update can interfere with computer and internet access speed or simply out of ignorance . Given the importance of the Windows updates to get rid off a virus infections or other malicious program’s exploits , enabling Windows Update is a must.

To enable Windows updates you can do from Control Panel:

From the Start menu go to Control Panel —- System Security — Windows Update then click Turn Automatic Updating On Or Off. You will be taken to a “ Choose how Windows can install updates” Window where you can select when and how Windows update will be downloaded, it is recommended you select the option Install updates automatically. And uncheck all the available options and then hit the OK button

r and prevent a virus infection. The antivirus needs to be updated on a regular basis or configured to update automatically so as to make your computer as safe as possible against the latest threats. Viruses and other malicious programs essentially play a catch up game rendering an outdated antivirus useless and can not detect and recognize viruses. Most recent viruses can update cleverly themselves to avoid detection even some of them are capable of deactivating antivirus software. A vast majority of savvy computer users install a third party antivirus application on their computer. Personally I use best antivirus for Windows 7. Windows 7 itself comes with a Microsoft Security Essentials, a free built-in Windows antivirus tool designed to prevent, detect and get rid your computer off a virus infection.

To activate it go to Start and type Microsoft Security Essentials in the Search Box then click on it and then turn Real-time protection options on and make sure spyware definitions are always up to date. You can also configure your computer to make regular scan and determine when you want to scan your computer by hitting the Settings tab.

Enable Firewall. A firewall works to control closed or open ports ports. Computer ports are virtual doors that enable computer software to share hardware and communicate with each other’s resources. A computer firewall serves to control network traffic traveling through virtual ports. It additionally provides some control over the flow of traffic on each port for security purposes. Each port has its own purpose , for example ports 135-139 is used for sharing files over a computer network, port 25 for sending email via SMTP protocol, port 110 for receiving email, port 3389 for remote desktop and so on. Windows firewall will allow those ports by default and disable other ports that can be exploited by unwanted programs. There a lot of third party firewalls on the market to chose from, some can be used for free with certain limitations with most of them are paid applications. I have covered some of them in the previous post, just visit the following link : <span

To make changes to Windows Firewall settings select the Allow a program or feature through Windows Firewall option on the left menu or if you are not sure what ports and applications you want to open or close you can simply click on “use recommended settings”. Once completed click the OK button.

Enable AppLocker, AppLocker is a new built-in security feature included in Windows 7. which to restrict applications that can be used by a user. This tool is useful when a Windows 7 computer is used by two people or more, you can restrict which applications are allowed to run by specific users, eg, user A may run applications A, B and C, while user B can only run applications E, F and G . In addition AppLocker can also be configured to prevent users from running portable applications requiring no installation which is usually prone to by malware or viruse infections. To enable AppLocker type in Local Security Policy the Instant Search then click Application Control Policies in left menu and then click AppLocker.

To allow certain users to run specific tasks right click on Executable rules bellow the “AppLoacker” and select Create New Rule. You will be prompted by a “Before Your Begin window”, then click Next as shown in the bellow picture:

Backing up hard drive is the only sure way to protect your computer files against hard drive crashes. Backing up you entire computer hard drive needs time and money, two things that most people do not like to throw it away anyway. Here are some suggestions that can simplify your task of backing up while saving costs.

Backing up your entire hard drive – operating system, applications has some advantages. With all the files stored, you can easily replace a crashed hard drive and immediately repair Windows and all your applications and data without having to re-install it. In some cases, overwriting a flawed Windows installation with a newer and cleaner copy will save your time identifying incompatible software or damaged program files.
If you have relatively small data files to backup, choosing an appropriate storage media to keep your hard drive files is a piece of cake. You can back up your data using up using a floppy disk or a flash disk. Of course the more data you backup, the greater the cost and time you need. Backing up the entire hard drives requires large storage media. Backing up hard drive containing several gigabytes of data using a 100MB Zip drive is not an easy task to do. Bigger storage media drive with greater capacity such as a CD-RW drive or a Jaz can cost you a bunch.

To save cost you can buy a second hard drive. Today almost every CMOS program has an auto detection feature hard disk yet unlike some removable storage media , EIDE hard drives have few compatibility problems with Windows or driver issue. One advantage of an EIDE hard drive is very fast, making it an ideal choice for backing up or restoring data.
Another downside of an EIDE hard drive is since the hard drive can not be moved, you can not store your backups in a separate location. And to avoid an emergency, you should keep a backup of any important data in different locations

Several Methods of Backing Up Hard Drive

Backing up hard drive can also be done with the help of an ATA RAID hard drive controller that lets you store an exact copy of your hard drive on a breeze, especially if your system has a good hard drive controller. A Disk-based PCI hard disk Controller will automatically replicate any changes you make to the original hard drive to your backup drive, hence maintaining an exact duplicate at any time.
After A Hard Disk Controller is installed, the backups take place automatically and you do not need to intervene during the process. Keep in mind that backing up hard drive using An ATA RAID hard drive controller has also a downside. Any data changes or omissions – such as accidentally deleted or overwritten important files – will be transferred to the backup drive as well.
One alternative to using An ATA RAID hard drive controller is use a second hard drive installed conventionally to backup the primary drive. This sometimes requires manual data backup, but when executed properly, it offer greater flexibility.
Windows also has a useful backup utility called Backup; you can find it in Start, Programs, Accessories, System Tools Backup. Backup is able to move throughout the primary drive or certain parts to your second drive. And you can arrange the next backup to copy the files new or changed course – a huge time-saver if you want to backup the entire hard drive, Windows and others.

Backing Up Hard Drive Before It’s Too Late

Windows Backup utility is very good at backing up data files, yet if the hard disk crashes, you can no longer get a copy of your Windows version. It occurs because the backup may not have a hidden file copy or system files that Windows needs to work properly and because you may need replace the MSDOS.SYS file. Similarly, the damaged files may get into your Windows backups long before you see the result – which can vary from a strange mouse behavior to the system crashes.
You can avoid the above disaster by creating images of your hard drives. You can do it with a backup software such as Acronis True Image and other back up utility software, see the following link for detail : Backup Software Review.

A backup software is a very useful utility that is able to copy and compress the entire drive – the system files, hidden files, file allocation table of your disk into a single file that can be stored on your second hard drive and restored if necessary.
It is highly recommended that you have at least three partitions on your hard drive. You can use a third party application such as Partition Magic to do the job or if you have a Windows 7 installed on your computer you can create partition using Windows 7 partition tool. After partitioning your hard drive, you need to install Windows/Operating System on partition C:, your application on D:, and your data on E and create mirror images of each partition. Just in case your Windows/ Operating system is damaged and can not be restored you can restore your original Windows configuration. You need to update the image if you add new hardware or software and make sure your system functions correctly before backing up hard drive.

<a

Hard drive is partitioned into several parts. The boot partition is regularly imaged using Acronis. In case there is virus infection or I encountered a Windows problem, the imaged partition is used to restore the booting disk which can be done quite fast. I have tried many backup software to find the best among them, a brief roundup of my experience using those backup applications can be found in my previous posting. See the following link for details: backup software reviews. This time I will only share my thoughts on one of the best backup software on the Market : Acronis which has few months ago rolled out its latest version Acronis True Image Home 2011.

I’ve been using Acronis True Image Home 2011 for over 2 months here my a list of the upsides and downsides of this backup software. The backups have worked well for me over the years and Acronis never disappointed me.

Recovery and Restores Work Perfecly

This an area where Acronis Acronis True Image Home 2011 shines, I have never had any difficulty restoring partitions and computer files from internal hard disks or from external hard drives. It worked perfectly most of the time. Acronis is even smart enough to handle the Windows security file in and it updates the Windows boot.ini file to make Windows bootable.

Acronis Secure Zone.

This feature has also constantly worked perfectly well for me. On client the computers I use the Acronis Startup Recovery Manager and it works really well even though it can be very is slow on larger disks with incremental backups

Online backup feature

Another extra feature is the online backup you can save your backups on your local hard drive , then upload them to the online service of your choice. You need a broadband or DSL internet connection to take the most of it though particularly if you deal with large files.

Other features

Acronis True Image Home 2011 also has typical features you can find in other similar products such as mount and unmount images, file shredder, system cleanup which, in my personal experience is quite sluggish if you compare with previous Acronis versions.

Acronis True Image Home 2011 Key Features

Reliable backup and recovery software for complete PC protection

Intuitive graphical interface; create copies of hard drive with just a few quick steps while continuing to work

Optimizations for Windows 7 make navigation faster; convenient Set&Forget scheduling

Try&Decide creates safe environment to try new software and browse the Web

Automatically creates incremental backups–roll back system, files, and folders to any point in time

Conclusion:

Acronis True Image Home 2011 sells for $39.76, a no brainer for such a powerful software despite few drawbacks. Hope you will find my brief Acronis True Image Home 2011 review helpful, anyway you may try the software for 30 days before deciding to buy the full version.

<a

This is a common question asked by network administrator who have just set up and secure a home or business network. Nowadays more and more corporations and household implement wireless network in their organizations and their homes to take advantage of its convenience. You need to just connect your Wifi-enabled laptops or computers to connect to router and the network and surf the web, or if your machine is not equipped with a wifi capability you may use wireless adapter for desktop . This , however, comes with risks as essentially a wireless network is easier to break in compare with a cable network. There are a number of methods to secure wireless network from internal or external intruders from eavesdropping your wireless network

Bellow a list of methods to secure home or company wireless network:

How To Secure My Wireless Network? : Action I : Use LAN segmentation and Firewall

LAN segmentation is widely implemented by many organizations to divide the network into smaller and more manageable compartments. Using different LAN segments or virtual LAN segments has a lots of advantages. It enables an organization to expand their network, reduce network congestion, sort out problems for more effective troubleshooting, and improve security by safeguarding different VLAN’s from each other.
You can allow all of the wireless devices to connect to the WLAN, but shield the remaining internal network from any troubles or internal or external attacks that may take place on the wireless network.By using a firewall, or router Access Control Lists (ACL), you can restrict communications between the WLAN and the rest of the network. In case you connect the WLAN to the internal network via a web proxy or Virtual Private Network you can additionally restrict access by wireless devices so that user are able to only surf the web, or are only permitted to access specific folders or applications.

How To Secure My Wireless Network? : Action II Use Wireless Encryption

Segmenting your WLAN from the rest of your wireless network helps protect you against the internal network from any attacks on the wireless network, but that’s not enough, there are still other actions you have to take to secure your wireless network. By encrypting your wireless communications and asking users to authenticate before logging in you can make sure illegal users do not intrude on your wireless network, and that your wireless data can not be intercepted.
One way to make sure that unauthorized users don’t eavesdrop on your wireless network is to encrypt your wireless data. The first encryption method, WEP (wired equivalent privacy), was found to be basically flawed and easy to crack. WEP uses shared key to restrict access. Anybody who knows the WEP key can access the wireless network. There was no mechanism integrated to WEP to automatically change the key, and there are several tools available on the market that are able to crack a WEP key in just a matter of minutes.

The more advanced method of encryption is WPA (Wi-Fi Protect Access) that is designed to leverage an 802.1X-compliant authentication server, but it may also be run much like WEP in PSK or pre-shared key mode. The main enhancement from WEP to WPA is the use of TKIP (Temporal Key Integrity Protocol), which dynamically changes the key to prevent the kind of cracking methods used to break WEP encryption.

By far the most up-to-date type of encryption is WPA2. The WPA2 encryption provides even more sophisticated and secure mechanisms including CCMP, which is in accordance with the AES encryption algorithm. To protect wireless data from being intercepted and to prevent unauthorized access to your wireless network, your WLAN should be set up with at least WPA encryption, and preferably WPA2 encryption.

How To Secure My Wireless Network? Action III : Wireless Authentication

Aside from encrypting wireless data, WPA can be implemented with 802.1X or RADIUS authentication servers to provide a more secure procedure for controlling access to the wireless network. Where WEP, or WPA in PSK mode, enables practically anonymous access to anyone who has the correct key or password, 802.1X or RADIUS authentication requires users to have valid account information credentials log into the wireless network.

Requiring authentication to the WLAN provides enhanced security by restricting access, additionally it provides logging details to analyze if something wrong occurs. While a wireless network based on a shared key is able to record MAC or IP addresses, that information is not useful to identify the main cause of a problem.
With WPA / WPA2 and an 802.1X or RADIUS authentication server, organizations can take advantage of a variety of authentication protocols such as Kerberos, MS-CHAP or TLS and make use of a variety of authentication methods such as usernames / passwords.

Source : <a

The Western Digital MyBook World comes in two variants , the regular MyBook World Edition drive that contains a 500GB hard drive, and the MyBook World Edition II which incorporates two 500GB drives or 1 Tb in total . The 500GB single-drive version sells for $380, which makes it an affordable choice for network back up and file sharing. One notable shortcoming is however, it doesn’t incorporate a print server or a media server. Nonetheless should the slow transfer speeds do not discourage you, this is an excellent option for anytime-anywhere access as the data transfer, since the data transfer in my opinion, is pretty slow.

Nonetheless, WDC loaded lots of functionality into MyBook World Edition . You can easily gain access to your files via HTTP, FTP, CIFS or SFTP, as it integrates pre-installed media server software. It it offers you access via SSH to the Linux-based Operating system operating under the hood. It is able to do everything – network hard drive, Mac Time Machine, automatic backup, internet access for files and many more.

The pros: Very easy to set up remote access and file sharing; The Western Digital MyBook World Edition provides support for Gigabit Ethernet; built-in backup application allows you to recoverfiles.

The Cons: The write and speed transfer is quite slow no print server or media server

The Western Digital MyBook World Edition Features

What makes the MyBook World Edition NAS drive stand out from similar products is its remote access feature. You will find implementing remote access with Western Digital MyBook World convenient than others.

The majority of the similar products with remote access capabilities require you to open ports on the router and configure dynamic DNS services which is something a novice find not easy to do. The Maxtor Fusion Personal Web Server is just one such device. Others use a workaround that needs you to upload the files you wish to access to Web server that acts like a cloud. Though this option is simple to apply, it takes a careful execution to be sure that the files you need will actually be accessible.

Western Digital has an agreement with MioNet to provide remote access to MyBook World Edition . This backup software collects, compresses, encrypts and transmits the data on the servers of the service provider of remote backup or offsite equipment.

There are many remote backup services on the market – all with different features, service levels and the type of encryption. The providers of remote backup usually focuse on niche market segments. Backup systems can be offered as a local network-based services such as Active Directory, control of the remote client, an offer or open the backup file.

The services offered by remote backup services are typically as follows

Encryption

The data must be encrypted before being sent over the Internet, and must be stored in an encrypted state. Encryption must be at least 256 bits, and the user should be able to use your own key, which should never be sent to the server to use.

Network Backup

A network backup can backup multiple computers, servers and storage devices connected to the network in a local network accessible from a single computer.

Continuous Data Protection

Service provides continuous data backup, or according to a schedule. Both methods have their advantages and disadvantages. Most backup services on programming and support for a predetermined time. Some services provide continuous data that are used by major financial institutions and major online retailers backup. However, there is usually a compromise with the resources and system performance.

Restoring files from the file

The ability of users to recover data from choosing without the help of a service that allows users to files with names and / or folders. Some services allow users to select files from the search for file names and folder date, file type for which backup and labels.

Online access to backup files

Some backup service companies allow you to access the backup files via a Web browser. Some don’t but the majority of them offer this functionality.

Data compression

The data is typically compressed using a lossless compression to minimize the amount of bandwidth used.

Differential data compression

To reduce network traffic, only the binary data that has changed from one day to the next, that are transferred to the backup servers.

The use of the bandwidth

Users can configure the backup services to use more or less bandwidth more or less, you can change this settings in different times of the day.

What are the advantages of remote backup?

Remote backup has advantages over conventional methods of data backup:

Perhaps the most important protection is that the backups are stored in a different place than the original data. Traditional backup requires manually off-site backup media

Remote Backup does not require user intervention. The user does not need to tapes, CDs, change the label or other manual steps.

Unlimited data storage.

Backups are automatically created.

Files are saved correctly. Backup software is often installed with a list of ordinary files to backup. This set of files usually represents the system state when the software is installed, and often missing critical files such as files that are added later.

Some remote backup services will work continuously, backing up files as they are changed.

Most services, remote backup keeps a list of versions of your files.

Most services, remote backup with a 128-448 bits to transmit data on unsecured connection (eg Internet)

Some services can reduce backup remote backup transmits only changes the bits of binary data

Disadvantages of remote backup

Remote backup has some disadvantages:

Depending on the available network bandwidth, data recovery may be slow. Since the data is stored externally, the data must either be accessed via the Internet or sent via a disk from the service provider of online backup.

Some emergency services have no guarantee that stored data will be kept secret – for example employees. So, to recommend the most, that the files are encrypted.

It is possible that the service could fail the remote backup or purchased, the profit from the accessibility of data or costs continue to affect service.

If the password encryption is lost, no data recovery is possible. But with managed services that should not be a problem.

The home broadband internet users usually is subscribing to a data plan with monthly limits which prevent them from performing backup of large files

Hybrid online backup

Hybrid online backup (usually referred to as hybrid cloud backup) is a backup method that combine local backup with offline backup to protect against local disasters.

See also : Computer and Internet Tips and Tricks

This Linksys router connection problem happened quite a while ago while I tried to connect my Dell computer located in my room and Linksys -installed PC server located in the master room. I subscribed to a broadband internet ISP and shared them with other two computers and a laptop belonging to my wife and son using Linksys WRTG54 wireless router . It worked just fine when all of a sudden the wireless network stop working, All computer clients could not receive signal from server couldn’t surf the internet. This was the message got “cannot associate with access point”

After successfully setting up Linksys router and configuring everything such as configuring security settings three months earlier suddenly I have the connection problem with the Linksys router. I have uninstalled and then installed the driver, and restarted the router but to no avail. I have also tried to reconfigure the security setting as described in the Linksys router security setup page in this blog. I finally gave up trying to sort the problem out myself and turn to the internet to find out solution to this connection problem but alas, I found no solution. After three days finally I came up with a solution to this annoying Linksys router connection problem.

So to make the story short this is what exactly did to fix my Linksys router connection problem, please note though, that this quick fix may or may not apply to yours. This includes hardware-related problems.

Uninstall driver from computer gateway (access point) , restart it and put your driver in a folder. Do not install it yet. You may get the latest driver from official Linksys driver download page or just copy from the CD that comes with the router when you buy your Linksys router.

Make sure have connect your router with the computer server. Restart again.

When prompted by the computer server to install the router driver, select install manually or Have disk, then navigate to the driver in your server computer hard drive you have earlier copied. Now it’s time to perform Linksys router setup and configure the required setting for your router to send signal.

Assuming that you have already installed wireless card on the computer clients (computers that connect to the router for internet connection) now follow exactly the above step.

As stated above what I did above may or may not apply to your Linksys router connection problem, the best bet would be to give it a try.

<a

The main difference of Intel core processor i5 from Core i7 is the socket used in their cores. Core i5 and some Intel Core i7 use LGA1156 socket while the latest core i7 processors has now used LGA1366 socket. Core i7 processors that still use LGA1156 socket include Core i7 870 (2.93 GHz, 8 MB Cache) and the Core i7 875K (2.93 GHz, 8 Mb Cache). Core i7 processors that uses LGA1366 socket, among others are the Core i7 920 (2.66 GHz, 8 MB Cache), Core i7 930 (2.80 GHz, 8 MB Cache), Core i7 950 (3:06 GHz, 8 MB Cache), Core i7 960 (3.2 GHz, 8 MB Cache) and other new variants of core i7.

Socket LGA1156,which was initially paired with the P55 chipset is mainly designed for mainstream uaers, with less features and has price tags. In its the latest chipset release , Intel launched chipset H55, H57, and Q57 -lower-end chipsets dedicated for core i5 600-series processors. Chipset H55, H57, and Q57 do not differ much with the P55 but the system is intended to low-end market segment with lower prices.

Intel Core i5 Vs Core i7: Key feature differences

Unlike Core i5, Intel core i7 features the so- called Turbo Mode feature. Core i7 Processor is equipped with a turbo mode designed to perform overclock if one core is not utilized. For example the Core i7-965 with a core speed of 3.20 GHz, will have processor speed of 3:46 GHz when turbo mode is activated. On top of that, Triple-Channel and Dual-Channel DD3 Memory of Intel core i7 are paired with the X58 chipset, using a triple-channel DDR3 memory.

Core i5 uses the traditional dual-channel memory. This means that the cost for purchasing a memory is cheaper for those having this processor in their PCs. The latest Core i7 already support dual-channel memory, not a triple-channel again.

Hyper-threading feature: Other key difference between Core i5 Vs Core i7 is how the two deal with hyper threading. Hyper-threading is a technology used by Intel to simulate existing cores on the processor. Core i7 has a quad-core processor designed to further improve computer performance when using multi-threading programs. Some Core i5 features hyper-threading, but some do not. Core i5 750 and i5 760 do not have hyper-threading facilities, but have four physical cores, Core i5 660 has a hyper-threading feature and two physical cores while there are no Core i5 processors with more than four physical cores or four simulated cores. This means Core i7 has much more better performance in executing multi-threaded computing task than the

Overall the Core i5 is suitable for average users with no heavy computing needs while Core i7 is for those who need better performance computers using multi-threaded programs or resources-hungry applications. Intel Core i5 with roughly half the price of Core i7 is just fine for average users like me. This overview of Core i5 Vs Intel Core i7 is compiled from various sources : <a
